5 Simple Steps to a "FUSS FREE" Wash Day!

5 Simple Steps to a "FUSS FREE" Wash Day!

STEP 1.
DETANGLE

DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!

You will regret it. Before shampooing, the first thing you want to do is detangle. I lightly mist her hair with our Nourishing Baby Detangler, and gently finger detangle from the ends up to the roots. Please take your time with this step to avoid breakage, damage and a cranky child.

STEP 2.
SHAMPOO

"Shampoo your child's hair every 7 to 10 days"

Children come into contact with a lot of things in their daily life, since their main priority is fun, they dont pay attention to personal hygiene.

Therefore, its crucial to shampoo your childs hair every 7 to 10 days. Shampooing also helps clear any buildup on the hair. This way the deep conditioning treatment and leave in conditioners you're going to apply later will be able to penetrate into the hair much faster.

I recommend to shampoo with our Nourishing Baby Shampoo and Body wash for newborns and up or our Nourish and Grow Stimulating Shampoo for children 12 months and up.

STEP 3.
CONDITION/ DEEP CONDITION

"The key to growing natural hair is hidden in this step."

I can personally testify to the power of conditioning and deep conditioning. It has been a game changer for Cristina!

Deep Conditioning your child's natural hair repairs damage their hair might have experienced during regular, day to day manipulation. Deep Conditioners also keeps the hair moisturized, strengthened and growing.

I Recommend the Nourishing Baby Conditioner for newborns and up. For Cristina and children 12 months or oIder, I recommend the Nourish and Grow Stimulating Growth Deep Conditioner. It's so good. I personally use it as well.

Allow it to sit for 5 to 15 mins and be sure to rinse it out with cool water to lock in the moisture and seal the cuticles of the hair shaft.

STEP 4.
MOISTURIZE

 "Apply Leave-in Conditioner"

After you've washed and deep conditioned, the next thing you want to do is apply a leave in conditioner. My go to is the Nourish and Grow 2 in 1 Conditioner and Detangler. Wet hair is very delicate and this makes the hair so much easier to comb through. Thank me later!

STEP 5.
STYLE

"Apply Leave-in Conditioner"

After you've wash and moisturized your child's hair, the last thing you want to do now is style it.

Our go to these days are protective styles. I.e braids, two strand twist etc..

This keeps the manipulation of the hair down to a minimum, which is great and highly recommended for growth, as well as length retention.

I add a little Nourish and Grow Edge and Hair Tamer in the morning when needed and that's it!

That's our 5 Simple steps to a "Fuss Free" wash day. Try it and let us know how you like it.
