Questions, answered
Is this just for babies? +
It starts at newborn and grows with your child. Newborn and baby start with Nourishing Baby. As they grow into toddlerhood and hair really starts coming in, Nourish + Grow takes over. Once they are kids, Curl Enhancing keeps curls, waves and coils soft and defined.
My child doesn't have cradle cap. Is this still for us? +
Yes. Cradle cap is only one of the things these formulas help with. Everything we make is built for sensitive skin and everyday scalp care, so it works just as well on a dry, itchy or simply healthy scalp. Our Hair and Scalp Oil does gently loosen and lift flakes on cradle cap prone scalps, but you do not need cradle cap to use it.
What curl types does this work on? +
Cristina's Curls works across all ranges, from 2A to 4C, for wavy, curly and coily hair. It is made to define curls and lock in moisture without buildup.
Is it safe for eczema prone skin? +
It is made for sensitive skin. Our Body Cream carries 1% colloidal oatmeal. It uses no synthetic fragrance, with no lavender and no essential oils. We have not completed clinical safety testing, so if your child has diagnosed eczema, check with your pediatrician before you start.
Where does the detangler fit in the routine? +
After washing and conditioning, on damp hair, right before you comb. It adds slip so knots release without pulling. You can also use it on dry hair between washes to soften and refresh curls before styling.
Are there nuts or common allergens in your products? +
Nine ingredients across our range are allergen relevant, and the full table is on our ingredients page. The Conditioning Detangler Spray carries sweet almond, wheat and silk. Shea is in five formulas, oat is in four, and coconut derived ingredients run across the range. Formulas differ, so always read the full ingredient list on each product page before you buy, and check with your pediatrician if your child has a known allergy.
How do I know which set to start with? +
The Nourishing Baby Hair Care Set is the easiest way to begin, a full routine in one box. Not sure where to start? Take our 60-second hair quiz and we will match you to the right products for your child's age and needs.
